The UX, particularly regarding the input compatibility modes, is nice enough that it might make sense to disable the HUD primarily for use by adults for unrestricted use as:

  • a Steam launcher
  • an emulator launcher
  • a media center

This is particularly useful on non-desktop targets:

  • Tablets
  • TVs
  • Gaming handhelds
